The AP has reported that an 8-foot shark attacked an Australian kayaker, knocking her off her craft only to be beaten back by a woman who knew what to do with the paddle. Those Aussies are tough.
It says: "Linda Whitehurst, 52, was paddling her sea kayak near the eastern resort town of Byron Bay, about 375 miles north of Sydney, when the shark lunged at her, knocking her into the water, the paddler and police said."
She reported to the police that she punched the great white repeatedly until it fled the scene of the attack. It adds: "Whitehurst made her way back to shore, where she received four stitches in her right arm for a small bite wound. Her vessel shows bite marks underneath."
Yeah, but you should see the other guy.
