Dow 14,000 And Then Some -- Again!

The Dow industrial average raged past its old high today, jumping 191 points to the green, and shattering once again the 14,000 mark, as investors waxed optimistic in the early part of the fourth quarter of 2007. Additionally, the Fed is expected to cut the prime lending rate in the near future for a second time in a row.

Meanwhile, both Citigroup and UBS have issued profit warnings (earnings preannouncements that guide down), but suggested that things are likely to return to normal in the near future.

The Bible says:

"Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth." Instead, they should say, "If the Lord wills," our economic situation will normalize in the near future.

A child once told her mother that she wanted to make God laugh. Her mother said, "Oh that's easy; next time you pray, just tell Him ALL your plans." Many are the plans in a man's heart, but the Lord determines (orders) his steps. Corporations are no different. They plan away, and make sure the prospectus tells investors all their plans. Gabriel goes into stitches. This is still funny.
